Tuesday 9.45 to 11.15am, Middlemore Farm Pub
National Childbirth Trust (NCT) are a charity aimed at supporting parents, and they have a lot to offer in the area. Middlemore mums and tots meet at Middlemore farm pub every Tuesday from 9.45 till 11.15am, and it is one of NCT’s most popular groups. Hosted in the friendly setting of Middlemore farm Pub, the group offers a variety of activities for babies through to toddlers. When I first attended the group I found that not only was it a great setting for my 4 month old to learn to play, but it was a great way for me to meet some new friends.
NCT understand that it can often be difficult to get out when you are a new mum, and that’s why they offer a range of groups and activities for parents and children. It can be extremely daunting going to a group by yourself for the 1st time, so NCT make sure that there is always a friendly face to greet you. The group has a dedicated play area for the younger ones, with a range of soft gyms and play mats. For the older ones, the toddler area offers a range of activities and toys, and the group now also includes arts and crafts. Entrance is only £1 and this includes hot drinks, snacks, and arts and crafts so why not come along. And of course, there is always the chance to stay on for a bite of lunch with friends afterwards as the pub opens after the group!
